Features and working principle of Inclined screw thickener

Inclined screw thickener paper plant machine mainly consists of screen cylinder and screw inside of drum cylinder. It adopts inclined type, low consistency stock enter from the bottom, do upward motion with the pushing of screw, water in pulp screen out from the  screening cylinder filter holes with gravity function. Pulp after thickening screen out from the above discharge mouth. Equipped with  cleaning brush at the rear side of spiral blade, cleaning brush rotate with the spiral, constantly brushing the surface of the screen cylinder, thereby maintaining the flow of filter holes.

Before the entrance of inclined screw thickener, it usually has a pulp concentration adjusting headbox to regulate the flow of slurry through the overflow plate height in the tank . Due to the limited gravity drainage capacity, if the feed slurry flow is large, the pulp consistency after thickening will be lower.  To obtain higher consistency, we have to control the inlet pulp flow and inlet pulp consistency. In addition, when cleaning brush wears, the surface of the screen cylinder can not be cleaned in time, it will affect the pulp thickening efficiency and the pulp consistency after thickening.
