What’s Composite Press?

Composite press refers to the press way that press mechanism consists of three or more rollers to form more than two nips. The composite press can realize the next press before the elasticity of the felt and the wet sheet is restored, thereby increasing the efficiency of the dewatering and the dryness of the paper before entering the dryer, greatly reducing the length of the press section of the paper machine and breaking of the paper, and also decreasing the difference between the two sides of the paper.

Characteristics of Composite Press

1. Higher dewatering efficiency in the press section;

2. The broken paper can be easily dealt with;

3. Symmetrical dewatering, is conducive to reducing the difference between the two sides of the paper;

4. Shorten the length of the press section of the paper machine. Save the length and construction area of the papermaking workshop;

5. Good adaptability to paper variety, suitable for high-speed paper machine, paper injection is simple;

6. Composite press can do the whole closed paper injection, or open paper injection after the composite press, can reduce times of breakage of the wet end of the paper machine to improve the speed of paper machine;

7. Using the composite press for straw pulp paper making is conducive to solving the problems of short fiber, too much non-fibrous cells, roll banding in paper making, breakage and so on And the match with the transformation of the web section and drying section can also further improve the speed of paper machine.

8. There is no barrier in paper injection with reverse press. Reverse press can be set as soon as possible to reduce the difference between the two sides of the paper. The more wet the paper sheet is, the better the plasticity will be, so the earlier the reverse press arises, the better it will be to reduce the difference between the two sides of the paper,while earlier occurrence of reverse press in ordinary press as soon as possible is not possible. If the press felt is on top, it means that the wet paper sheet is left empty and easily broken; if the press felt is underneath, then the strength of the wet paper sheet is not enough to cope with the reverse of the wet paper sheet, and the phenomenon of breakage of paper sheet can easily occur.
